5 Situations Every Bi/Pan Person Can Relate To

Alright, before I accidentally ruffle some feathers with this piece, let me start off by saying that not all bi people are the same. Some are poly. Some cringe at the thought of anything other than monogamy. Some are proud sluts. Others are more prude. (You see what I’m doing here, yeah?) So let’s breathe and enjoy some puns. Because while all bi people are different, I truly do believe that every bi person appreciates a good pun.

With that said, here are 10 situations all bi/pan people can relate to!

1. Not being sure who you find more attractive in a film—the male or female love interest

Watching A Star is Born is hard for us. There are two insanely talented, beautiful, and creative people up on that screen! Who do we crush on, Bradley Cooper or Lady Gaga? (Trick question! The answer is both and you dream of being in a throuple.)

2. Answering the annoying question of “But who do you like more?”

I like anyone who isn’t asking this question more! I have no idea who I like more, and it depends on the person. So even if I typically "like guys more," when I date a woman, I still love her, so the question becomes moot.

3. Feeling the need to justify your sexuality

Hopefully, you’ve reached a place in your life where you no longer feel obligated to prove your sexuality by listing all the guys and girls you’ve had sex with or dated. For years, however, I know that I felt compelled to do this in order to "prove" naysayers wrong.

4. Being more open to exploring various dynamics in the bedroom

There’s been actual research that's illustrated that bi men make the best lovers in large part because they feel comfortable exploring different dynamics in the bedroom. They don’t feel compelled to stick to the traditional scripts of how sex is "supposed" to look. A recent piece in Playboyactually confirmed the same is true for bi women.

5. Not being sure whether to hit up a gay or straight bar/club/establishment

I mean, gay bars… duh… but I know that’s not the answer for everyone. Some bi folks prefer straight bars and others prefer gay ones. Some can’t make up their mind about which ones they want to go to.
